Library Rules

We endeavour to free the learning process from the confines of the four walls of classrooms and take it further to activity workshops, resource centres, laboratories and library, teaching less for learning more.

Library Rules

  • All the students from IX to XII are allowed to borrow books from the library.
  • No student is allowed to carry any belongings whatsoever into the library. They shall be left outside.
  • Strict silence shall be observed in the library.
  • Books in the reference section may not be taken out of the library.
  • Students who keep books longer than the time permitted will be fined Rs. 1 a day.
  • No students shall scribble, write or make any marking or indication either in ink or pencil or by tucking in the edges of the books or tamper with them. Cases detected contrary to this shall be taken seriously and fines imposed at the discretion of the librarian.
  • In the event of the loss of a book, a new and exact one of the lost book or double amount of its price shall be accepted.
  • Loss of the Borrowers’ Ticket shall be reported to the librarian at the earliest.
  • Each student is entitled to borrow one book at a time while each teacher is entitled to borrow two books at a time and keep the same for seven days. Periodical publication, dictionaries, guides and other costly reference books shall not be lent out.
  • Each student is entitled to renew the borrowed book for another 15 days only. But in case of any advance reservation for the same book, this shall not be entertained.
  • Books should be covered and used.
  • All books taken from the library should be returned two weeks before the examinations. T.C. and admit card to the board examination will not be issued until a clearance is obtained from the librarian.
